All Classes:
Art Research Paper-Students will demonstrate their knowledge of Design, Art Criticism and MLA formatting by completing a written research paper on an artist and one piece of their artwork. Due March 5
Art I:
Ink Crosshatch Shading- Using pen and ink students will demonstrate the ability to render value, volumn and detail with crosshatched lines by realistically drawing and shading from a cropped referance. Feb. 17 - 20, March 9 - 11
Scratch Board- Using an exacto knife and scratch board students will create the observed values of an object by layering scratched lines and dots. March 16 - April 22
Art II:
Paper Cut- Students will observe and separate values of color by creating an hard edged colored paper cut. Due: March 20
Hands That Tell a Story- Students will demonstrate the ability to realistically render the look and portray emotion of a piece of hand held still life by drawing and shading an item in their hand that has an emotional connection to their life. March 23 - April 10
Studio:
Themed Project: Artist's Style- Students will demonstrate the ability to continue a creative theme thought process and displaying knowledge of an artist's style by creating a piece of artwork that both reflects their theme and the artist's style. March 8 - April 27
Dig. Photo I:
Pic of the Day- Each day students will be given a different photo theme that they are to creatively complete while using previously learned computational and optimizing skills. Feb. 1-23
Computer Manipulation-
Artist Style- Students will visually demonstrate the style of the artist they wrote their research paper about by capturing the photographers style in an original photo. (Picture that Tells a Story) March 11
Fine Art Effects- Students will demonstrate the ability to create a variety of fine art styles by using original photography and photo editing tools. March 8 - 27

Artist Style- Students will visually demonstrate the style of the artist they wrote their research paper about. (Dramatic Portrait) Feb 17-21
Special Effects Photography- Students will demonstrate the ability to create special effects photographs using original photography and photo editing tools.(Chiaroscuro) Feb. 1-23

Themed Fine Art Photography Production- Students will produce a variety of themed fine art photographs demonstrating the ability to enhance them using advanced photo editing tools. March 8 - 27
Artist Style- Students will demonstrate the ability to compose a photo that visually illustrate the an artist's style by creating an origanal representation of Surrealism. March 8 - 11
Ceramics:
Relief Sculpture Pot- Students will construct a pot that demonstrates the ability to create a detailed and realistic low to high relief pictorial design on a 12" vase.

Adv. Ceramics:
Animal Pot- Students will demonstrate the ability to create a funtional pot with a creative shape by constructing a pot that represents an animal. Feb. 9 - March 27
