ALL CLASSES:
Art Criticism- After completing this unit students will demonstrate the ability to name, define and demonstrate the use of the four step art criticism process. They will also be able to select and analyze artworks to form conclusions about formal qualities and meanings. Due Jan. 16
Art I:
White Charcoal Shaded Drawings- Using white charcoal and black paper students will demonstrate the ability to realistically render a still life object by creating a drawing that has shaded highlights and middle tones while leaving the black paper as the shadows. Due Jan. 30
Art II:
Paper Cut- Students will demonstrate the ability to observe and separate values of color by creating an hard edged colored paper cut. Jan.5 - March 5
Studio:
Themed Project #3- Students will demonstrate the ability to continue a creative thought process by creating the second piece in a theme driven portfolio of artwork. Jan.5 - March 5

- Small decorative Coil Pot- Students will demonstrate the ability to construct a pot made of small coils creating the sence of movement through design. . Due Jan. 5 - Feb. 6
- Foiled Pot- Students will demonstrate the ability to construct a decorative piece of pottery by creating a 12" pot embellished with a antiqued crumpled foil and acrylis paint. Due Jan. 5 - Feb. 6
Digital Photography:
- Composition: While completing a series of composition based photo projects students will demonstrate the ability to produce a variety of accurate, compositionally correct and visually pleasing photographs. Jan. 5 -30
- Computer Manipulation- Students will the ability to enhance their photography by create a wide variety of manipulations and enhancements using PhotoShop. Jan. 5 -30
- Creative Lighting Techniques- Students will create a variety of dramatic and realistic lit photographs using original photography and photo editing tools.
Digital Photography III:
- Special Effects Photography- Students will demonstrate the ability to create creative special effects photographs by constructing predetermined effects using original photography and photo editing tools. Jan. 5 -30
- Themed Fine Art Photography Production- Students will demonstrate the ability to produce visually appealing fine art photography by produce a variety of enhanced themed photographs using advanced photo editing tools. Jan. 5 -30
